Lights Out!

Let's turn off the lights in high rise buildings at night. There's no need to light an entire floor of a commercial high rise building at night when it's unoccupied and the building is secure.

Why is this important?

There is an excessive and unnecessary waste of energy, materials for electrical systems, and money by leaving unoccupied buildings illuminated at night. This would lead to a major reduction in greenhouse gasses and massive savings in operating expenditures. Much like we are renovating older governmental facilities to be more energy efficient through advanced HVAC systems and insulation, this would have an immediate impact with no cost, just savings.
