The Arctic is a truly special place, but it is under threat from rising temperatures, oil drilling, and industrial fishing. Why is this important?
Although the Arctic is far from where we live the devastating results of commercial fishing, climate change, and oil drilling will effect us (the world) like a chain reaction. The Arctic is home to so much wildlife and natives that we need on earth. The monetary benefits of commercial fishing, oil drilling, etc. are not worth the life long devastating impact it can have in the arctic. We should be doing what is possible to preserve the Arctic and it's wildlife.
