ACLU, support the Hamilton Electors
Please, pledge to defend 'faithless' delegates (Hamilton Electors) to the Electoral College.
Why is this important?
Most states have adopted winner-take-all rules for their EC delegates. In recent days some have initiated draconian penalties for those who violate those rules. So far, a number of Democratic delegates have announced their willingness to back a reasonable Republican candidate if a sufficient number of Republicans can join them. Most who do so, from both parties, will place themselves at legal risk. We ask ACLU to pledge its assistance to this cross-party effort.
