Authorize America's First Coast to Coast Trail

Support passage of H.R. 3022, the Discovery Trails Act of 2013, which will designate the existing American Discovery Trail as the first coast to coast trail in the National Trails System.

Why is this important?

The American Discovery Trail is the nation's only coast-to-coast trail. Though many have completed the entire trail, much of the route cannot yet be marked as it is not part of the National Trails System. This no cost, designation-only bill will greatly boost tourism in hundreds of small towns and major cities across America without limiting future development.
