Broward County Commission: FLL Airport Workers Deserve a Living Wage

Airport workers at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood are struggling to survive. They have been speaking up for better wages and treatment, only to be met with bullying and intimation from airline contractors like G2 and Eulen. This is unacceptable for hard-working members of our community to be treated this way.

The airport should be an engine of prosperity—not poverty—for our community. Local taxpayers should not have to foot the bill for the public assistance that airport workers are forced to rely on because their employers refuse to pay a living wage.

You have the power to change thousands of lives at the airport and improve the service that taxpayers and tourists alike remember when they travel to FLL.

Currently, these subcontracted airline workers are excluded from Broward County’s Living Wage Ordinance—which allow contractors like G2 and Eulen to maximize profits by shortchanging their workers.

Make FLL work for everyone. Extend the Living Wage to sub-contracted workers today.
