Christ Church, Teddington - Save our Ministry

We ask Richmond Upon Thames Council to let us redevelop our church site.

Our old building is dangerous, because it was poorly built and never completed. It cannot be saved (see www.savechristchurch.com for more details).

Richmond Upon Thames Council will not allow it to be demolished and a new one built - with additional community hall and affordable housing for older people. Please help us encourage them to change their minds by giving us your support.

Why is this important?

Our congregation will be bankrupted if the Council's insistence on trying to keep the old building is not altered. We will be gone, our various ministries will be gone, our facilities will be gone. There won't simply be no 'old church building', there will be no church at all.

150 years of work and witness will be finished if they do not look forwards. The site will stand derelict for years, and eventually the worst fears of locals will be realised - because eventually the whole site will be given over to housing - not just a part of it. The community will lose out.
