The government shutdown has brought across-the-board pay cuts for federal employees. This petition is asking that members of Congress, the President, and the Vice President take these same pay cuts while the government is shut down, so they too can feel the impact that so many Americans are feeling during this fiscal disaster.
Why is this important?
I refuse to sit idly by and watch our leaders get paid, while Americans suffer because of the mess that was made by those who are put in office to protect us.
