To: John Koskinen, IRS Commissioner

Dear IRS: No tax breaks for hate groups.

Your tax dollars are at work, subsidizing the hate group that inspired the alleged perpetrator of the Charleston Massacre. This is wrong. Tell the IRS to revoke the tax exempt status of hate groups, beginning with the Council of Conservative Citizens.

Why is this important?

Dangerous hate groups like the CCC are inspiring violence against fellow citizens, including the Charleston Nine. While these hate groups are free, under the First Amendment, to express their views, however abhorrent, taxpayers should not be footing the bill for these activities by providing tax-exempt status. Rescind the tax-exempt status of the Council of Conservative Citizens and all similar hate groups. We are better than this.
