Death with Dignity for Californians

Californians should have the right to a legal assisted death in the event of a confirmed diagnosis of terminal illness, intractable pain, or dementia.

Why is this important?

The right to die, such as Oregon has, makes sense for all. Everybody dies, and the individual and their loved ones shouldn't suffer needlessly. Life is precious, and anyone who has seen the suffering of someone in a nursing home or the family of those who have continued to live in pain because of legal issues, may desire a kinder and more dignified option.
