The Dept of the Interior reached a deal with Utah yesterday to re-open National parks in the state. That deal needs to be cancelled immediately. Utah's Senator caused the shutdown, his state should not be allowed to avoid the consequneces of his actions when so many other regions are suffering from them. Demand this deal be scrapped.
Why is this important?
My home region in the DC metero are has been devastated by this shutdown. Millions or hard working people are without jobs through no fault of thier own. Small businesses are suffering badly from lack of spending, and even though federal workers will get back pay, tens of thousands of government contrators who work side by side with them in the same jobs will not. To exempt Utah from the same pain, when they elected the person responsible for it, it patently and totally unfair
