Don't Allow Exxon-Mobil to Restart Pegasus Tar-Sands Pipeline!

Tar Sands pipelines are just too dangerous. Kalamazoo River, Yellowstone River, and Mayflower Arkansas are still a mess and will be for 100 years. When these things break, there is no way to clean it up. As reported by Inside Climate News, TreeHugger, and DeSmogBlog, there are MANY unanswered questions about the safety of the Pegasus. It's old, and hydrotesting just makes defects worse. Exxon-Mobil has ignored the request to move the pipeline out of the sensitive Lake Maumelle Watershed, which provides drinking water for 400,000 people. There's only one choice-- DON'T RESTART PEGASUS!

Why is this important?

Besides the safety of all the millions of people who drink water from the 18 watersheds which Pegasus crosses, these tar sands pipelines will only encourage more Alberta Tar Sands development. This is not only the bottom of the hydrocarbon barrel, the dirtiest form of fossil fuel, it will cause the destruction of the Boreal Forest in Canada, and accelerate Climate Change, which very likely may cause the extinction of 95% of all life in planet earth.
