Elected officials should make the median wage of the districts they represent.

It seems that the goal of getting elected in America has become more of a money shuffle than working for the people. Maybe if the people running for office felt the struggle and concerns of their constituents they'd be more in tune with what legislation would work well for them. Politics has become a big money scheme to control all and "by the people for the people" has become null and void.

Why is this important?

It has come to my attention and the attention of the people of the United States that our elected officials are out of touch with what their constituents need and want.

If a person running for office wants to truly better his or her community, they have to somewhat feel the struggle of what their community is going through. Too often, money in politics changes a once-good candidate into someone peddling issues that no longer affect the people he or she will be representing.

If an elected official wants his district or constituents to progress, they have to work hard for that to happen. The only way we can see fit that that works is if the elected officials are tied to their constituents. They choose to represent the people so let them make the median average wage of the people they represent. Maybe then we'll see some real change in America.
