End discrimination with a simple amendment to North Carolina's HB2 legislation

Give North Carolina patrons the security they deserve AND cease the legalized discrimination against our transexual community. Amend House Bill 2 by removing the burden of compliance from the individual and require and enforce every business to install barriers with functional locking devices on every lavatory that is designated for public use. This type of law will be much easier to enforce via fines, will make the identification of violations easier, and avoid "slippery slope" search and seizures by enforcement officials. If this idea does not resolve the fears of the Right Wing, then it is obvious that their purpose for their bill is undeniably to discriminate and not the proclaimed "safety" of the bigoted.

Why is this important?

North Carolina's House Bill 2 is one of the most blatant laws of this millennium that specifically threatens a minority group's civil liberties by denying access to basic human physiological functions. The requirement to "prove" gender degrades and violates the societal progress established by the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Discrimination is discrimination. It may not impact you or your group this time however, opening this door to hate makes us all vulnerable tomorrow. Close the door to hate today by signing this petition today by giving Governor McCrory an alternative and ending the legalization of evil.
