Why is this important?
One hundred million sharks are killed each year, primarily for the shark fin trade. Twenty-five percent of sharks, skates, and rays are threatened with extinction and populations of large sharks are crashing globally. 35 airlines including UPS, DHL, and Air China have policies refusing to participate in this unsustainable trade of endangered and threatened sharks.
