Free Candice Holloway

Stop the incarceration of Candice Holloway who was abused by her then boyfriend to the point of needing to use the battered woman's syndrome as a defense to child neglect.

Why is this important?

Candice is my family and I did not know this was going on. We need to help her to gain her freedom from an unconstitutional incarceration. What makes it illegal is that she suffers from battered women's syndrome and had ineffective assistance of counsel forcing her to plea to avoid the death penalty when she had a true defense and the boyfriend got life. For testifying against the boyfriend Connell Williams she got thirty years, five years supervised probation all while injured.

I am really fighting the control that men can exhibit over women until they snap or are under vise of what we call battered women. I am in no way condoning the death of the child, but the legal aspect of the procedure used to impose punishment upon Candice. Personally I truly believe that a person is innocent until proven guilty and not in the court of public opinion. I appreciate everyone's concern over this matter and I would love to get your support on the fact that justice needs to be served to allow her the opportunity to get help - not prison as the law allows.
Thanks so much. Looking forward to your response.
