Governor Deal, Georgia Needs Medicaid Expansion

We believe Medicaid Expansion is crucial for Georgia. Georgia has one of the highest uninsured rates in the country, but Governor Deal has announced that he does not intend to move forward with the Medicaid expansion.

Why is this important?

Governor Deal has said the state cannot afford to expand Medicaid, even though the federal government would pay 100 percent of the cost for three years and then gradually scale back its support to a permanent level of 90 percent.
