HEY FACEBOOK :: STOP INTERFERING WITH USERS RIGHT OF FREE ASSOCIATION

FACEBOOK Friending Policies violate users rights to free association. FACEBOOK punishes users for extending a hand in friendship to many people who would welcome the gesture.

There is a simple solution to this -- let users adjust their settings as to whether they want to accept friend requests from previously unknown people, or friends of friends, or ducks, or whatever.

As the de facto Social Networking Monopoly, FACEBOOK needs to reconsider its policies regarding user friending practices, to more closely resemble the real life practice of making friends.
