To: President Donald Trump, The Massachusetts State House, The Massachusetts State Senate, Governor Charlie Baker, The United States House of Representatives, and The United States Senate

I petition to hold the President- elect responsible for denouncing hate

Mr. Trump,
Your rhetoric during the campaign has enabled behaviors driven by hate. People, many of whom identified themselves as your supporters, have been painting swastikas in public parks and on public bridges, harassing those looking different than they do on college campuses and in other public spaces, and distributing flyers calling for kidnapping and torture of those with whom they disagree.
I am asking you, as the future President of this country, to publicly distance yourself from such acts, and to invite those who have placed their public trust in you to refrain from such behaviors.

Respectfully,
Janina Fenigsen

Why is this important?

I petition to insist that the President-elect of the Unites States of America publicly distance himself from hate-driven behaviors, notably so among his supporters. The hate-motivated behaviors have invaded our neighborhoods, colleges, and streets. We all have been affected, directly or indirectly.
