Illinois, Nevada and North Carolina: Ratify the ERA!

The state of California just passed the Fair Pay Act, on Oct 6, 2015: the toughest equity pay law in the nation, to protect workers of both sexes.
Here is more detail on this new law - http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Jerry-Brown-signs-nation-s-toughest-gender-6554023.php
Isn't it time, to give the same legal support to women across the US, by ratifying the ERA? The Alice Paul Institute in NJ and the ERA Coalition thinks so.

Why is this important?

Most Americans have no idea who ensured women had the vote in 1920. Thanks to the efforts of Alice Paul, and the support of President Woodrow Wilson, it was accomplished. The remarkable strategy behind this effort, is described in the book, A Woman's Crusade: Alice Paul and the Battle for the Ballot, by Mary Walton (2010). This prim Quaker woman from Mt Laurel NJ made it happen. Her next goal? Starting in 1923, she began efforts to get the ERA passed. Is it not possible, with 3 states still needed to ratify this effort, that we women in the US, get this passed before 100 years has passed since she began this effort?

There are two efforts working at this, including my own non-profit:
www.equalrightsamendment.org, run by the Alice Paul Institute in Mt Laurel NJ, and the new ERA Coalition, at www.ERAcoalition.org.

My own non-profit has started the Lysistrata Project for the Common Good, that includes this effort to pass the ERA. Women can be mobilizing much more, to ensure a decent future for us all.

Please see our main website, www.TransitionExpress.vpweb.com for future activities planned for the Lysistrata Project for the Common Good.
