Make Mortgage Lending & Homeownership Fair

Mortgage lending should be an equal partnership between a bank and a homeowner. A Bank should not be able to take a person's home without consequence. Homeowners lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in payments as well as their homes in foreclosure. The amount they've paid could equal or exceed the initial cost of the home. The bank is made more than whole in the foreclosure process while the homeowner is put out on the street with nothing. Also mortgage interest on a primary residence should not exceed a 3 percent rate and not more than a 30 year term.

Why is this important?

Mortgage lending is very bias towards the bank. You can pay on your home for years, fall on hard times and the bank has the right to foreclose and homeowners lose everything.
