1. Allow legal medical marijuana dispensaries in Long Beach to remain open without the threat of DEA and local raids ensuring patient and public safety.
2. Tax and regulate the local sale of marijuana in order to ensure that medical marijuana patients' rights are respected.

Petition Background
Mayor Bob Foster has gone through extreme lengths to guarantee that California medical marijuana patients in Long Beach can not access their medicine safely. He has acted against the interest of the people who have elected him by forcing long beach patients, many of them cancer patients, to get their medicine through unsafe means. Not only should Long Beach tax payers be upset, but also the community as a whole because local governments should be respecting state laws, not trumping them.
