Michael's Law: Addiction treatment for successful longterm recovery.

To allocate funds from State or Federal Government for addiction treatment.
To provide financially appropriate access to transitional drug treatments
To improve timely access to inpatient rehab beds.
To increase intensive outpatient care for appropriate individuals with follow-up transitional housing.
Work with law enforcement as a unified front to tackle heroin epidemic.
Alternative housing immediately after detox instead of "treat and street."

Why is this important?

I lost my son on November 3, 2015, to a heroin overdose. He was 31 years old with 2 children ages 2 and 3 1/2. He detoxed two weeks prior to his death and was on a waiting list for a bed but overdosed prior to getting one.
