All citizens, of this country, should be willing to sacrifice to help pay for the wars that congress declares. If our men and women in the military are risking their lives the rest of us should also be willing to pay our share.
Why is this important?
When congress declared war on Iraq and Afghanistan it also gave tax breaks to stimulate the economy. Therefore, the U.S. went Trillions of dollars in debt in order to pay for those wars. If our lawmakers know that they are barred from giving tax breaks, during armed conflicts, they may rethink going into wars of choice.
