Petition Background

California could turn the tide on election reform by passing the California DISCLOSE Act, a measure that would shed light on the shadowy interests who depend on secrecy to influence elections.

The California DISCLOSE Act (Assembly Bill 1648) would bring true transparency to state elections, ensuring that top donors for every political ad are shown in the ads themselves -- so California voters know who is trying to buy their support.

The bill is just one vote shy of passage. Sign our petition to holdout state legislators and Assembly leaders to pass the California DISCLOSE Act today.
