President Obama, Please Call Out Republican Obstruction

In the first two debates with Congressman Ryan and Governor Romney, claims have been made that you have not been bipartisan and that your policies have not worked because you got everything you wanted when you had a Democratic majority in the House and Senate. These claims went unanswered in both the Presidential and Vice Presidential debates. If these same attacks are made in upcoming debates, please push back by pointing out Republican obstruction through the record use of the filibuster. Republicans have not negotiated with you or other Democratic leaders in the House and Senate in good faith and they need to be called out on it. I believe this will not only help you win the next debate, it will also help Democratic candidates running in down-ticket races by pointing out Republican intransigence.

Thank you for your service and leadership.

Why is this important?

During the two most recent debates, Congressman Ryan and Governor Romney both talked about bipartisanship and Congressman Ryan claimed that President Obama should have been able to do more because there was a Democratic majority in the House and Senate when he took office. These attacks went unanswered. President Obama needs to challenge these attacks in the next debate by pointing out Republican obstruction through their record use of the filibuster in the Senate.
