Princeton University, Divest from Fossil Fuels and Professor Happer

"The demonization of carbon dioxide is just like the demonization of the poor Jews under Hitler." That's what Princeton University professor William Happer said during a July 14th interview on CNBC's Squawk Box. He continued, "Carbon dioxide is actually a benefit to the world, and so were the Jews." Professor Happer has a long history of climate denialism. He is also chairman of the Marshall Institute, a policy group that received $865,000 from ExxonMobil from 1998 to 2011.

Earlier this year, the April 14th edition of The Princetonian featured a piece entitled "In light of changes and unrest, Princeton monitoring investment policies across the Ivy League" that opened, "The University is monitoring sustainable investment developments across the Ivy League in light of recent demonstrations and policy changes across peer institutions, although it considers it is still too early to make a decision."

Your failure to take aggressive action to divest from fossil fuel investments and your tolerance of Professor Happer's irresponsible statements and industry ties are disgraceful. Show some integrity. Divest your university of fossil fuels and Professor Happer.
