On February 18, 2014, workers at the Hilton Providence Hotel announced their demands that the hotel improve its appalling working conditions, give them a voice on the job, and honor a fair process for union organizing.
About a year earlier in March 2013, workers at the Renaissance Providence Hotel announced similar demands to their management. Both the Renaissance and the Hilton are owned by the Rhode Island based corporation Procaccianti Group. Now workers at both hotels and uniting in their fight against Procaccianti.
