Petition your representatives to immediately repeal House Resolution 368, and restore the power of ANY representative to instigate a vote to end the shutdown, rather than keeping that power exclusive to the majority leader.
Why is this important?
Most of congress wants to end the shutdown, but isn't allowed to, due to a change in the rules made just prior to the shutdown. This change is outlined in H.R. 368, section 2. This is a blatant attempt to derail the forward progress of democracy, and must be stopped! It isn't just our government that is shutdown, it is democracy itself!
