Revise SB 1320 in Arizona, to limit the practice of Eyelash Extensions to LICENSED professionals ...

Recently the State of Arizona Legislative bodies have determined that Makeup and Eyelash extensions can be applied by unlicensed individuals and no longer regulated by the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology. We are asking for a revision to the Eyelash "Enhancement" portion of this Senate Bill.

Why is this important?

Recently SB 1320 was enacted in Arizona deregulating and removing State Board Authority over the application of permanent eyelash extensions, allowing non-licensed individuals to apply these extensions. We are asking for a revision to the Senate Bill, to reinstate authority to the Arizona Board of Cosmetology, over the application of Eyelash Extensions. We are concerned about the health, safety and well being of the consumer, when a medical grade adhesive is applied to the eye area by an unlicensed professional/whom is not regulated or subject to disciplinary action by any governing authority.
