Rick Scott - Pardon Marissa Alexander

Marissa Alexander deserves a pardon for defending herself. The felony charges should be dropped so she can have a fresh start and future.

Why is this important?

Marissa Alexander was a victim of DV. Her husband beat her while she was pregnant. "After yet another beating, Alexander fired a warning shot, which traveled through a wall and into the ceiling. That shot saved her life. Prosecutor Angela Corey did not take into account that Marissa Alexander: Had a court injunction against her crazed husband; Had Given Birth 9 Days Earlier; Was trained to use a weapon and earned a concealed weapons permit." - http://justiceformarissa.blogspot.com/

She now has 2 years of home arrest, where she can pursue higher education and can leave for certain things such as picking up and dropping of her child, etc. But, she will still have a felony on her record, which will prevent her from voting, getting student aid for school, and could keep her from being hired, among other things.

We are asking Gov. Rick Scott to please pardon her so she can have a completely free life ahead of her to pursue anything she wishes.
