The lovely century-old home located at 920 Missouri Street is slated for demolition on October 19. The Oread Neighborhood is losing its architectural gems rapidly, and this home is one of the few remaining on the 900 block of Missouri. The new owners (Joe and Gina Keating) intend to tear it down and build a duplex with 8 bedrooms for rent. Historic update: Mattie Crumrine, Professor of French, lived at 920 Missouri while teaching at KU for 43 years. She walked up the hill as so many of us do every day to work on campus because she saw no need for a car. Her sister Anne lived on Missouri with her most of those 43 years.
