Republicans in the U.S. Senate have reached a new low. While unscrupulous predatory lenders literally rob American soldiers as they fight to defend our nation, the people who send them to war don’t have the decency to provide them with basic consumer protections.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was created because scammers see troops as nothing more than a dollar sign in a uniform. Our heroes shouldn’t have to worry about abusive debt collectors and shady payday lenders. They should be focused on doing their job and coming home safe.
The CFPB can’t do its job until Senate Republicans put politics aside and confirm Richard Cordray. On Veterans Day, we will deliver our petition to the Senate GOP demanding that they support our troops. Add your name today so the CFPB can do its job – protect America’s heroes.

Hundreds of predatory lenders target & then literally rob American soldiers while they fight to defend our nation. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was created to protect our troops, but it can’t do its job until it has a director. Right now, Senate Republicans are busy playing politics, & refusing to confirm Richard Cordray's nomination. On Veterans Day, we will deliver our petition to the Senate GOP demanding that they quit playing games & support our troops.
