Let women have control over their own bodies. Help poor women continue to have access to healthcare. Stop the war on the women of Texas. This SB1 legislation is wrong for women and wrong for Texas. Allow public hearings on Senate Bill 1 before voting.
Why is this important?
Senate Bill 1 is designed to tell women what is right for them to do with their own bodies. Women are very capable. No man can tell a woman how to take care of her pregnancy and her health. The bill assumes women are not only monsters, but willing murderers of the fetus in her body. The bill penalizes women - especially the poor - by keeping them from getting the healthcare they need. Stop this bill, because it is wrong for all women. It will cause the unnecessary deaths of women in Texas. Allow public hearings on Senate Bill 1 before voting.
