STOP Hazing, Branding and Killing Columbia River Sea Lions

We, the compassionate residents of Oregon, demand that any and all violence against Columbia River sea lions stop immediately, and that official policy is changed to reflect only allowing humane deterrents, capture and release, or relocation of the sea lions to a safe environment.

Why is this important?

Every year in Astoria and at Bonneville Dam, innocent sea lions are hazed, branded, tortured and killed for the simple act of eating. The acts are immoral, unethical and inflict severe pain and suffering on the sea lions. The dam itself, pollution and over-fishing are the real issues which affect the fish population, NOT sea lions.
