STOP THE MISTREATMENT ON SOMALIS IN KENYA

SOMALI REFUGEES IN KENYA ARE UNDER SIEGE BY THE KENYAN GOVERNMENT. THEY ARE DETAINED ILLEGALLY IN MASS NUMBERS AND ARE CAPTIVE AT THE KASARANI SOCCER STADIUM (CONCENTRATION CAMP). THEY ARE PLACED IN CAGES AND TREATED INHUMANELY WITHOUT FOOD AND WATER, AMONG THEM ARE INNOCENT CHILDREN, SENIORS AND PREGNANT MOTHERS WHICH HAD DELIVERED BABIES WHILE IN CAPTIVITY. WE DEMAND THE KENYAN GOVERNMENT TO STOP THESE HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. THE KENYAN GOVERNMENT MUST ABIDE THE 1951 REFUGEE CONVENTION, GENOCIDE CONVENTION AND UNIVERSAL DECLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS. WE ASK YOUR SUPPORT IN PROTECTING THESE INNOCENT SOMALIS, AND KENYAN NATIONALS OF SOMALI ORIGIN. WE ASK OUR FEDERAL ELECTED OFFICIALS IN THE U.S. CONGRESS AND OUR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, SECRETARY OF STATE TO DEMAND FROM THE KENYAN GOVERNMENT TO STOP THESE ATROCITIES.

Why is this important?

SOMALIS IN KENYA HAVE FLED THEIR HOMELAND FROM CIVIL WAR AND FAMINE. THEY CAME TO KENYA SEEKING PROTECTION AND STABILITY NOT DETENTION AND HUMILIATION. WE DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE HALT OF THE DETENTION AND DEPORTATION TO THE SOMALIS IN KENYA.
