Support Senate 1837, move-to-zero Personal Rapid Transit bill

PETITION to MA Joint Committee on Transportation: Send Senate 1837, the move-to-zero Personal Rapid Transit bill, to the Massachusetts legislature for a vote to allow innovative transit to use public rights-of-way based on four criteria: 1) exceeds the equivalent of moving a passenger at 120 miles per gallon, 2) is funded by private capital, 3) meets the safety standards used for amusement rides, and 4) pays 5% of gross revenue to the collective rights-of-way owners.

Why is this important?

Our goal is great transportation for Massachusetts that moves to 1) zero time waiting for transit, waiting in traffic or looking for a parking space, 2) zero subsidy by tax dollars (saves everybody money), 3) zero accidents and deaths, and 4) zero carbon emissions. We seek transit that’s fast, fun, safe, and affordable for all. We aim to cut emissions both from transportation and also from fossil fuel power plants by making solar and energy storage affordable for homes and other buildings. Thank you for joining us in envisioning renewable-powered Personal Rapid Transit providing great transportation—in all weather—that leads to healthy pedestrian-and-bicyclist-friendly communities, a thriving economy, and stable sustaining climate, water and food supply, and sea level for Massachusetts and the world.
