Support Youth Who Want Job Programs

Thursday, March 6 Illinois State Representative David Reis, urged a freeze of Chicago Anti-Violence State Funds. Subsequently the Sun-Times ran scathing articles blaming programs that saved lives as failures. We must STOP House Bill 6011, which halts any remaining Fiscal Year 2014 funding to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority for grants associated with Chicago’s community-based violence prevention programs, and after school programs. Sign now to stop the madness!

Why is this important?

The media's focus on misuse of funding includes erroneous information and neglects to look at the good after school, summer and other work for teens and any unemployed group takes from such programming. We are seeking "Justice and Jobs."
