Tell Donald Trump Myron Ebell is Unacceptable for the EPA
Dear President-Elect Trump,
Climate change is affecting our lives much sooner than we expected, from public health risks to extreme weather and even our national security.
Your decision to tap climate-denier Myron Ebell to lead the EPA transition – a man who rejects science and laughs in the face of this serious threat to Americans nationwide – is dangerous and irresponsible. You promised to be a president for the people and it’s time to make good on that promise.
I urge you not to nominate to Myron Ebell to be EPA Administrator and remove him as the leader of the transition team. If not, we will fight him and his nomination with everything we have.
Why is this important?
Most Americans support climate action and a transition to clean, renewable energy, regardless of party affiliation. We know that climate change poses an urgent threat to our national security, public health, economy, and many other facets of American life.
That’s why putting climate denier Myron Ebell in charge of the EPA transition is unacceptable and nominating him to run the EPA would be even worse. Ebell cannot adequately protect Americans if he doesn’t believe the threat is real.
Urge President-elect Trump to listen to the majority of Americans who support climate action. We need to protect the unprecedented progress we’ve made in addressing climate change and make sure Myron Ebell stays far away from the EPA.
