Tell the State Senate to Pass New York’s Medical Marijuana Bill

The Compassionate Care Act will allow seriously ill New Yorkers access to medical marijuana. The New York Assembly has passed the bill, and the Governor said he'll sign it. But the Senate has refused to act. People across New York are suffering, and over 80% of New Yorkers support allowing access to medical marijuana to provide relief. We, the undersigned, ask the Senate to put patients before politics and pass the Compassionate Care Act now.

Why is this important?

My name is Beverly, and I have Stage 4 breast cancer. Medical marijuana could help me manage the symptoms of my chemotherapy, but the New York State Senate Co-Leaders are blocking a vote on legislation that would allow me and others the relief we need. I’m spending what are probably the last years of my life fighting for the Compassionate Care Act because I know that thousands of patients could benefit from medical marijuana – cancer patients like me, and people with multiple sclerosis, severe seizure disorders, HIV/AIDS, and other serious, debilitating conditions. Please join me in calling on the New York State Senate to support patients and caregivers by passing the Compassionate Care Act. It’s time to provide compassion for those who are sick and suffering.
