Texas Legislators: Support "We, the People" of Texas by passing SCR 2

Petition Background

The 2010 decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in the case of Citizens United v Federal Election Commission gave virtually unlimited power to corporations to influence elections and other civil matters in our country at all levels of government by granting them the same political free speech rights as living human beings. Only a constitutional amendment can overcome this state of affairs. A resolution has been submitted to both houses of the Texas Legislature that, if passed, would direct the U.S. Congress to initiate this amendment process.
