The Governor of Utah Should Veto Bill For Execution by Firing Squad

The State Senate in Utah recently approved a bill already passed by the Utah State House that would allow execution by a firing squad. This execution method is cruel and unusual and goes against the Constitution of the United States. This bill should be vetoed.

Why is this important?

Execution in itself is morally wrong, and to partner it with the use of a firing squad is inexcusable. There may be a shortage of lethal injections, but a firing squad should not be the answer to this problem.
