The Republican party has been taken over by a group of minority interests that are destroying the party from within. The collection of these interests demonstrate an illiterate view on Science. Political parties may be able to change tax laws, but the laws of physics can't be changed by a voice vote.
Why is this important?
The Republican party has constantly come up against science in policy issues. Be it Global Warming, human created climate change, birth control and abortion, even creationism and evolution. They just don't get Science.
