We CAN afford to end poverty, homelessness, and hunger in this country, and it starts with providing EVERY citizen with an unconditional sum of money equal to or greater than 130% of the poverty guideline.
Why is this important?
Automation is killing the job market. Extra food is going to waste due to bureaucratic red tape. Homeless children are grossly under reported. Mental health services are primitive and underfunded. And dignity is a human right not afforded to ALL of the American people. Basic income will provide ALL citizens with an opportunity to live healthy, productive lives.
