Virginia: Healthcare for All of Us Today!

Petition Statement
Expand medicaid in Virginia today, to provide healthcare to 425,000 Virginians and create 30,000 jobs. It doesn't cost the state anything! Let's get our families the care they need and our seniors the care they've earned.
Petition Background
Obamacare allows Virginia to provide healthcare to over 425,000 uninsured Virginians by expanding medicaid coverage. It won't cost Virginia anything for three years, and after that Virginia will be paying just a fraction of the cost to provide critical healthcare to seniors, kids, and families across the state. And, implementing Obamacare would create 30,000 new jobs for Virginians! This is a win-win solution.
But Governor McDonnell has changed the state budget to try and deny these uninsured families from getting the care they need, because of his narrow, ideological stance against the Obama Administration.
Now it's in the hands of our State Legislature. They have to put Obamacare and medicaid expansion back into the state budget. It's time to put political ambitions aside and create the caring Virginia we have all earned.
