Wasserman Schultz: Debate Tim Canova on TPP

The Trans Pacific Partnership agreement was signed on Feb. 3. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren has called on Congress to reject the agreement. "I hope Congress will use its constitutional authority to stop this deal before it makes things even worse and even more dangerous for America's hardest-working families," Warren said on Feb. 2. [1]

DNC chair and Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was one of only 28 House Democrats to vote for "fast track" legislation enabling the TPP negotiations to go forward. [2] Her stance on the final TPP agreement will likely have a decisive impact on the Congressional debate. Wasserman Schultz has a Democratic primary opponent, Tim Canova, who is a sharp critic of the TPP agreement.
