Wisconsin: save antibiotics for medicine, not factory farms!

To be delivered to Sen. Tammy Baldwin (WI-2)

Petition Statement

Right now, factory farms across the country are giving their livestock daily doses of antibiotics — even when they are not sick — and breeding dangerous superbugs in the process. These antibiotic-resistant bacteria are creating a public health threat, as 2 million Americans experience antibiotic-resistant infections every year.

I urge you to cosponsor S 1256, the bill to stop the unnecessary use of antibiotics in livestock.
There are currently 1,755 signatures. NEW goal - We need 2,000 signatures!

Petition Background

Antibiotics are for sick people, not for healthy farm animals. But here in the U.S., 80% of antibiotics are used in agriculture. Factory farms are giving their livestock a daily dose of these important drugs -- and breeding dangerous superbugs in the process. Sign the petition to ban the unnecessary use of antibiotics on factory farms.
