Terence Crutcher died for being Black. Indict Officer Betty Shelby.

Indict Officer Betty Shelby for killing Terence Crutcher, an unarmed father of four, who posed no threat to her. The people of Tulsa are counting on you to do the right thing and hold Tulsa police accountable. You must indict and fully investigate Officer Shelby for her role in the killing. Police are not above the law, and when someone kills someone, today's law states that they should be arrested—not at home on paid administrative leave.

No Giant Bonuses for Scamming Wells Fargo Customers

Wells Fargo created more than 2 million fake deposit and credit-card accounts, and then charged unknowing customers for them. Yet, the Wells Fargo executive who oversaw this misconduct isn’t being fired, they’re retiring--and walking away with almost $125 million in total compensation.

Justice for Alfred Olango!

Indict the police officer who killed 30-year-old Alfred Olango, a Black man who was mentally ill and needed medical assistance. The murder of Black men by U.S. police has reached sickening and epidemic levels. It has to end, and police officers who unnecessarily use deadly force must be held accountable. The people of El Cajon are counting on you to hold the officers behind this unjust killing fully responsible.

Stop the violence against the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe

By turning their dogs loose on protestors, the security guards hired by Dakota Access, LLC acted in a reckless and inhumane manner. The guards had no uniforms, drove vehicles with out-of-state plates, and appeared to have little or no training. It's unclear whether or not they're even licensed to operate in the state. The North Dakota Private Investigation and Security Board must investigate the actions of the private security guards hired by Dakota Access and ensure they are properly trained and licensed to operate in North Dakota.

It is time for police reform nationwide!

Families across America urge the U.S. federal government to set a higher standard of policing by strengthening accountability mechanisms and securing critical reforms to end police brutality, biased racial profiling, and militarized policing targeting youth and communities of color across our nation.

Demand Police Transparency in North Carolina

We demand the repeal of North Carolina House Bill 972, which blocks the release of police camera footage to the public. Recordings from body cameras and dashboard cameras should be used to make law enforcement more transparent and accountable to the communities they serve.

Gov. Brown: Don’t let California execute an innocent person!

Prop. 66 will increase the risk that California could execute an innocent person by making it more difficult for individuals on death row to introduce newly discovered evidence of their innocence, imposing arbitrary timelines, and requiring inexperienced attorneys to handle complex death penalty appeals. The only way to ensure that California never executes an innocent person is to get rid of the death penalty altogether. Please join us in saying Yes on Prop 62 and No on Prop 66!

President Obama: Protect the Grand Canyon from toxic mining

I urge you to protect the Grand Canyon from nearby uranium mining by designating the Greater Grand Canyon Heritage National Monument. Doing so will permanently protect this sacred place for generations to come and set a precedent for protecting other special places across the country from reckless threats.

TAKE ACTION: Restore wild salmon - remove the lower Snake River dams!

It's past time to remove the four outdated, salmon-killing dams on the lower Snake River. This is an alternative you must consider fully and fairly in the court-ordered environmental impact statement you are preparing for managing the Columbia and Snake River dams. You must base your analysis of this alternative on the best available science about salmon and other species that depend on them, including endangered killer whales. The analysis must also fully account for the market and non-market economic costs and benefits of dam removal, including the benefits of a restored river and the money tax- and rate-payers will...

Protect The Delivery of Mail In The USA

The US Postal Service is guaranteed in the Constitution of the United States in Article 1, Clause 8, Section 7. We challenge The President of the United States of America and the full body of Congress to protect and enhance the delivery of the mail. 1. We support six-day delivery of mail and demand it continues. 2. We support and demand mail be delivered in hours of daylight whenever possible. 3. We support hiring more city and rural carriers so all routes can be covered by a regular mail-person or their relief carrier on a daily basis. With reasonable accommodations...

TAKE ACTION: Get these hormone-disrupting chemicals out of our food!

I am deeply concerned that toxic chemicals called phthalates are allowed to be used as food additives. Exposure to this class of chemicals during pregnancy is linked to serious impairments to children's brains and to the reproductive systems of boys. Exposures during childhood are associated with developmental delays and serious learning disabilities. We must do a better job of protecting our children from chemicals. I urge the FDA to stop allowing toxic phthalates to be used as food additives. The brain development and reproductive capacity of a generation of children are on the line. Thank you for your consideration of...

Justice for Lennon Lacy

Promote social justice by increasing awareness of inequality and racism in North Carolina. Lennon Lacy was a victim of racism and deserves to have justice.

Add your name: We are the movement for Black lives

Our work remains undone until our lives are free of violence. That is the future we imagine. Until that day comes: * We pledge togetherness—we will not allow ourselves to be divided. * We pledge to allow our thinking and actions to be guided by love. * We pledge to bring courage and power into our communities, and stop their flow out. * We pledge not to be controlled by fear, but instead by our dreams.

Enterprise: Drive away from ALEC

Live up to your own values of sustainability by cutting all ties immediately with ALEC, an extreme right-wing lobbying group that denies climate change and blocks climate action.

Demand Apple Pay What It Owes

In light of the European Commission’s ruling that Apple owes up to $14.5 billion in back taxes to Ireland on its European profits, it is critical that the Treasury Department immediately investigate Apple’s profit shifting and tax dodging here in the United States. We demand that the Treasury act in the best interests of the American people and ensure that Apple pays all of the taxes it owes here at home.
