The civil rights of the unemployed must be protected. No longer are they to be excluded from consideration of decent paying jobs only because they are unemployed. Democrats and Republicans must become statesmen, not partisans, and enact H.R. 1113 to create a new protected class under the Civil Rights Act of 1964: the unemployed.
Why is this important?
The unemployed are discriminated against in employment simply because they are unemployed. This has been an evil practice that has been on-going for at least 30 years. Lately, employers have been blatantly advertising in their help-wanted ads: "the unemployed need not apply." Protect the unemployed's civil rights -- enact H.R. 1113 NOW
