Congress: Begin impeachment proceedings immediately

To be delivered to The United States House of Representatives and The United States Senate

Petition Statement

In the United States, no one is above the law. Congress must begin impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump immediately for his abuse of power and violation of public trust.
There are currently 145,844 signatures. NEW goal - We need 150,000 signatures!

Petition Background

Donald Trump and those around him have sought to undermine the institutions of our democracy in ways we've never seen before.

Our nation's founders made sure that the Constitution contained a check on a president who abused power and broke the law. And what Comey's testimony tells us is that Trump has committed that very kind of impeachable offense—a high crime or misdemeanor under our Constitution.

Congress must now live up to its constitutional obligation and begin impeachment proceedings of Donald Trump.

We will not treat this as normal. And politicians in Washington must not continue to conduct business as usual. Everyone in Congress must look in the mirror and decide how they will fulfill their oath to defend our Constitution—and which side of history they want to be on.

If they fail to do so, millions of MoveOn members across the country will hold them accountable.
