Demand Police Transparency in North Carolina

We demand the repeal of North Carolina House Bill 972, which blocks the release of police camera footage to the public. Recordings from body cameras and dashboard cameras should be used to make law enforcement more transparent and accountable to the communities they serve.

Why is this important?

North Carolina has passed a law, HB 972, that prohibits police body camera and dash camera footage from being released to the public. This goes against efforts toward police transparency and accountability. We must enact legislation that addresses police violence and resist that which promotes secrecy and injustice.
